Opening Service 2022/2023

The first in person whole school assembly since the pandemic

This year's Opening Year Service took place on Tuesday, 20 September at a whole school assembly.  The first in person whole school assembly since the pandemic. The service was opened by Mr Michael Styles (Subject Coordinator for Religion) who welcomed everyone to the new school year and introduced this year's motto which is 'Responsibility of Citizenship’.  Mr Styles then introduced our acting principal Mr. Micallef who gave an excellent speech deepening the understanding of this year's motto.

Jude McCrea (Head Boy) and Sarah Brownlee (Head Girl) read bible readings that shared the same theme of respect for others and taking responsibility for ourselves and others.

Both Junior School and Senior School came together to perform an amazing rendition of "Something inside so Strong"

Selina Zhang from P6 recited the poem ‘Responsibility’ by an Unknown Author.

Reverend Andrew Gill reflected on the readings and prayed for a healthy and happy new school year.

Mr Styles closed the service by thanking everyone who made the morning possible and for all the hard work that was entailed.
