The competition involves students researching the Euro Area economy and making assessments, predictions and suggestions intended for Mario Draghi, the President of the European Central Bank (ECB).    The students have passed the first three rounds of the competition and have reached the national finals taking place on 9 March. They will present their findings to the Governor of the Central Bank of Ireland and a panel of economists and answer questions on their research. They will compete against two other schools and the team deemed to be best will go on to represent Ireland in the European finals in front of Mario Draghi in the ECB building in Frankfurt.
