St Andrew's knocked out in Semi-Final 1v1s

In their first match against Ashton School at 3.30pm on Wednesday 24 October, St Andrew's were victorious by 2 goals to nil with both goals being scored by Jamie Pullen.
In the first of their matches on Thursday 25 October, St Andrew's beat RBAI convincingly with a 7:1 victory. Goals from Ben Hickmott, Josh Filgas, Sam Walker (3) and Sam Byrne (2).
In their afternoon match against Wallace High School at 3.30pm, Stephen McCann scored just before half time to give St Andrew's a one nil lead. Two goals from Wallace in the second half brought the score to 1:2. However, a superb equalising goal from Stephen McCann brought the match level. Just before the whistle blew there was a winning goal from Jamie Pullen giving a full time score of 3:2 meaning St Andrew's advanced to the semi finals against Banbridge Grammar School.
The semi-final kicked off at 9.30am on the morning of Friday 26 October with Banbridge scoring first. Ben Hickmott levelled the match with Sam Byrne scoring on the rebound from a shot by Charlie Denvir to take St Andrew's to a 2:1 lead. Banbridge levelled in the dying seconds to take the match to 1v1s which they won taking them through to the final this afternoon. Very hard luck to our boys who played hard and well to reach the semi final. We are very proud of them all.
We hope that Banbridge and Newtown have a very sporting match this afternoon in the final. May the better team win!
