K1 boys and girls are up and at it!
What a busy first week
Our K1 boys and girls have begun their school adventure with enthusiasm, eagerness and energy and our classroom has quickly become a wonderful positive learning environment!
They have quickly become secure in their new classroom environment and are already beginning to feel a sense of belonging to the St Andrew’s community.
The children have been fully engaged in classroom activities including counting, matching and sorting in maths, exploring and sharing stories, learning Go Noodle routines, getting active in P.E., learning new sounds in Jolly Phonics, constructing with cubes, blocks and Lego, listening attentively during story time and Irish, tracing and modelling letters and all the while getting familiar with routine. Additionally, they got to enjoy lessons from our specialist teachers in Sport, PE and Art, and they had great fun making some buzzy bees in Art with Mr Cousins! We are so proud of the boys and girls for thinking about the school values!
It has certainly been a busy week, but the children have had plenty of time for playtime and fun! We look forward to starting our full days next week!
