House Captains

2025/2026 House Captains
At St Andrew’s College Junior School, the House Captains from Centaur, Dragon, Griffin and Phoenix play an integral role in fostering school spirit, teamwork and a sense of belonging across all year groups. The House System provides a wonderful platform for pupils to develop leadership skills, encourage healthy competition and celebrate collective achievement. Through their work, the House Captains promote the school’s values of respect, resilience and responsibility while helping to make every member of their House feel included and valued.
Each House is led by two House Captains and one Vice-Captain. These pupil leaders work closely with their peers and teachers to plan inter-house events and support school-wide initiatives. They are responsible for encouraging participation, promoting teamwork and ensuring that all pupils take pride in representing their House.
Throughout the year, the House Captains and Vice-Captains play a key role in organising and promoting House competitions in areas such as sport, the arts and academics. They help to motivate their teams, celebrate success and maintain the spirit of fair play and positive encouragement. One of their ongoing goals is to ensure that every pupil feels proud to contribute to the success of their House.
These leaders also set a strong example within the wider school community. Whether welcoming visitors, or helping to run special school days, they consistently demonstrate the leadership and kindness that define St.Andrew’s College Junior School. We are very proud of this year’s House Captains and Vice-Captains and look forward to seeing how Centaur, Dragon, Griffin and Phoenix rise to new challenges and achievements throughout the year.
