Ann Siampani

Piano Teacher

A native of Greece, Dr. Anna Siampani is a pianist, educator, and clinician. Holding degrees from Pennsylvania State University and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Dr. Siampani will be joining the piano faculty at St. Andrew’s College in August 2026.

As an active soloist and ensemble performer, she has appeared in festivals and concerts throughout Greece, as well as in Austria, Romania, China, and the U.S. Dedicated to the exploration of underrepresented keyboard repertoire by Greek composers, she has performed and lectured on the complete solo piano works of Manos Hadjidakis and Manolis Kalomiris.

Devoted to the field of piano pedagogy, Dr. Siampani has completed studies in somatics, biomechanics and body awareness for optimal performance. Her projects, centered on somatic education for musicians through musical interpretation and improvisation, filter piano techniques and performance practices through wellness methods and movement patterns including but not limited to Pilates, Body-Mind Centering, and Laban Movement Analysis.

 

Her research has been presented in conferences in the U.S., including the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy (NCKP), the Music Teachers National Association National Conference, the MTNA Collegiate Piano Pedagogy Symposium, the Music Teachers’ Association of California, the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association State Conference, the Madison Area Music Educators Conference, as well as at many College Music Society regional conferences. Additionally, she has presented clinics and workshops internationally in Greece, China, and the U.S.

Dr. Siampani is a three-time recipient of the Academic Achievement Scholarship and the First Award of Academic Excellence by the State Scholarship Foundation in Greece. Additionally, she has been honored with the prestigious Lilian Voudouri and Alexander Onassis Foundations Scholarships, and the Collins Fellowship for artistic excellence from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2019, Dr. Siampani was awarded the David and Edith Sinaiko Graduate Fellowship for a Woman in the Arts, marking her achievements in the field.
