Abbie McDonagh
Violin Teacher
Dublin-born violinist Abbie performs regularly with the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, Irish National Opera and RTÉ Concert orchestra, frequently in principal roles. Abbie studied in Germany at the Universities of Music in Lübeck and Hannover, graduating with highest distinction, after which she worked in Hamburg Philharmonic Orchestra for three years.
A former member of the European Union Youth Orchestra (EUYO), Abbie is a prizewinner at the Stockholm International Violin Competition and former recipient of the Bank of Ireland Catherine Judge Memorial Award. She has appeared as a soloist and chamber musician at venues and festivals across Ireland, Europe, and the United States, including Carnegie Hall, West Cork Chamber Music Festival, Music for Galway, Brahms Festival Lübeck and the National Concert Hall International Master Class Series.
