Michael has been teaching guitar at St. Andrew’s College since 2005. During that time he has been preparing students for their Junior and Leaving Cert practical exams as well as grade exams with Trinity Guildhall, Rgt@LCM and Rockschool.

He holds a B.A. in Music and Higher Diploma in Education from Trinity College Dublin.

Michael has been very active on the Dublin jazz scene for more than 25 years and has had residencies in The Shelbourne Hotel, The Burlington Hotel and The Conrad Hotel.

He has worked in ensembles ranging from duos up to big bands, including The Dublin Jazz Orchestra and The Hot House Big Band

He has performed numerous times at The Cork Jazz Festival, The Bray Jazz Festival and Derry Jazz Festival and continues to gig regularly in Dublin with musicians including Michael Buckley, Richie Buckley, Myles Drennan and Ciaran Wilde.
