Catrina is a highly accomplished and sought after Classical Soprano with an extensive and versatile performance background. She holds a Masters in Music performance from DIT and a BMus Degree from UCD. An acclaimed concert soloist, Catrina has performed in such diverse venues as the RDS Concert Hall to Electric Picnic, performing Opera on the Body and Soul stage to the Spiegeltent, singing Gershwin. In June 2017, Catrina made her solo recital debut in the John Field Room with pianist Catriona Grimes in a sold out performance of their recital programme “Dreamscapes”. 2019 saw a return to the NCH to perform the world premiere of a song cycle by renowned composer Colman Pearce who had written the work specially for Catrina and her duo partner Catriona Grimes. In addition to her Classical prowess, she has toured as a member of the choir with the acclaimed PBS show Celtic Woman. During this tour Catrina performed in prestigious venues such as Radio City Music Hall (New York) and the Greek Theatre (Los Angeles) during a 14 week tour of the United States in 2008. From 2003 until 2007 Catrina also performed as a soloist with Michael McGlynn's dynamic Irish choral Group, Anúna. Catrina is passionate about her performing and teaching in equal measure. As a music tutor, she has over 20 years’ experience, teaching singing (all genres), piano, flute and music theory. Catrina has taught here since 2018 and also teaches at Alexandra College.  She is also on the teaching panel in the Conservatoire of Music, TU Dublin.  Catrina has taught students across a wide range of levels including preparation for Junior and Leaving Certificate practicals and up to diploma level across R.I.A.M, Trinity London and ABRSM exam boards. With students ranging from young children to adults, Catrina has taught a wide range of repertoire, conducted junior choirs and prepared and produced student recitals/concerts. She is delighted to be a member of the music team in St Andrew’s College.
