Originally from China, Rachel has lived in Ireland for over fifteen years. After studying at the Shenyang Conservatory of Music and DIT Conservatory of Music she graduated with an MA in Classical String Performance from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance at the University of Limerick. In demand as a freelance violinist, Rachel performs regularly with Ireland's finest musicians and groups such as the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, and Wexford Festival Opera Orchestra. A keen advocate of music education, Rachel has over ten years’ teaching experience. She currently teaches group and individual violin lessons at St Andrew's College and conducts the school orchestra.
