SMART CARD SYSTEM

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

The Smart Card system allows Senior School students to purchase food from the school canteen at break and lunchtime.

How the system works

Students who wish to use the Smart Card system should top up their account online using the school’s Payzone payment platform. The system is fully cashless and cash payments are not accepted.

Top-ups and payments

Smart Card accounts can be topped up throughout the school year using the Payzone system, you can find this by accessing quick links > payments on the left-hand side of the screen.

Payments are processed each school morning between 8.00am and 9.00am. Any payments made after 9.00am will be credited on the following school day.

Lost or replacement cards

If a Smart Card is lost, it should be reported immediately by emailing:smartcards@st-andrews.ie

Once reported, the card will be cancelled and any remaining balance will be transferred to a replacement card.

Please note it is the responsibility of the student to report a lost card as soon as possible. The College cannot accept responsibility for any transactions made prior to the card being reported lost. A replacement card fee of €6 applies.

Food options

The Smart Card can be used to purchase a wide range of meals and snacks available in the school canteen, including healthy options at break time.

Account information

An itemised record of purchases is available on request from the Smart Card Office.
