There were five St Andrew's College delegations in attendance at the Blackrock Model United Nations conference over the weekend of 5-6 April 2019. The five countries represented were Croatia, France, Saudi Arabia, Sweden and Turkey.  There was a wide range of schools in attendance including Rathdown School and Terenure College.

St. Andrews had delegates from Third to Fifth Year with a varying range of MUN experience.   We discussed topics like:

• Human rights in occupied Palestinian territories
• Over-fishing 
• Advancing economic parity for women living in rural areas. 

When it came to the awards ceremony, St Andrew's delegates received many Distinguished Delegate awards for their tireless work in the committee room. St Andrews also won the prize for Overall Best School at ROCKMUN 2019.

The students would like to thank  Mr Hehir for taking time out of his weekend to allow us to attend ROCKMUN. The School can be very proud of all their delegates for representing the school and themselves so well.
