P2

Welcome to P2! My name is Marian Blaney and this is my 8th academic year with St. Andrew’s College Junior School (SACJS). Previously, I have taught in both P4 and P5 and before joining SACJS, I taught in London for 3 years. My teacher training was a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from St. Mary’s University, Twickenham.

I have always been passionate about working with children, having coached gymnastics from an early age. Despite my love of teaching and working with children, I followed a different path after leaving school. I studied Commerce in University College Dublin and became an Associate Chartered Accountant in 2011. I quickly realised this was not for me and so began my journey into teaching.

SACJS is a wonderfully unique learning experience for all that is built on a strong foundation of belonging. Each of the children is encouraged to explore and question their learning in a vibrant and busy environment and I endeavour to promote that in my classroom. My goal for each of the children in my care is that they enjoy their final year in Infants but come the end of the academic year, they are ready for the challenges of P3 and beyond!

Should you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to contact me.
