2nd Year Copper Crawl

In aid of Irish Therapy Dogs and Solas

On Thursday 11 February the Second Year Students will hold a Copper Crawl in the Senior Hall to raise funds for Irish Therapy Dogs and Solas.  If you have any spare change at home please support these worthy causes and bring it in to Reception.  There is a long history of Copper Crawls in St Andrew's College.  Back in the late 1960s, when St Andrew's was fundraising for its intended move to our current premises at Booterstown, Junior School students took part in a Penny Mile in the Dublin Mountains.  There was much less traffic on the roads in those days as can be seen from these photos.  How things have changed - note the short trousers and caps worn by the boys at the time!  Also look at the size of the old penny coins!  They are much bigger than the copper coins of nowadays.
