The Sixth Year
The Sixth Year is the final year in school culminating in the Leaving Certificate or International Baccalaureate examinations. It is therefore important that every effort be made to assist students to achieve their goals.
To this end the College grants them a number of privileges designed to emphasise the status of the year, to recognise that our senior students are now young adults and to help them prepare for the freedoms and pressures of third level education. This concession, however, needs to be set in the context of their responsibilities to themselves, their plans for the future and their parents' expectations for them.
