The Fifth Year

Fifth Year is an important, interesting, varied and challenging year in school; important in that one can lay the foundations for success at International Baccalaureate or Leaving Certificate level; interesting and varied in that students can become involved in many aspects of school life, and challenging in that the International Baccalaureate and the Leaving Certificate are lengthy, demanding programmes which take time and patience to master.

Fifth Year is a time to move on from the variety and stimulation of the Transition Year to develop new skills, learn new subjects (or extend one's appreciation of existing subjects), to build knowledge and to plan one's future.
