                                P1 Projects - Countries -

P1 have been recently working on projects choosing a country of their choice. They incorporated some creative interaction during the day and began researching their chosen country in computer studies. The project allowed the children to learn about different countries and become an independent researcher at the age of six and seven years of age.The pupils really enjoyed the project and many thanks to the parents in supporting their childrens work and helping them at home.

Students presented their projects to the class and were very excited about the different types of foods, famous people, historical landmarks and flags of many different countries.

Here are some of the childrens thoughts on their projects:

Saskia; I really enjoyed the project as I chose Germany and my new au pair is from this country. She helped me make a German pie for the class to taste and it was delicious.

Jacques: I worked very hard on my project on Burundi. I found out information about their football team and I cant wait till my next project.

Clodie: It was fun learning about new countries. I did my project on France and went with my daddy a long time ago.

Sara: I liked doing my project as I got to choose my own country and I learned how to complete a project. I did my project on Spain and I am going to Barcelona in the summer so I can’t wait.

Cooper: My project was on America where I come from so I knew a lot of information before I started. I brought in a cd of Taylor Swift for the class to listen to her as she is from America.
