Prefects & Mentors

Prefects:
Sixth Year students are appointed to the position of Prefect following their probationary year in Fifth Year, provided, that they have fulfilled the criteria laid down for the appointment of prefects. Their duties are taken over by the probationary fifth year students at Christmas.

Mentors:
Sixth year students are invited to become 'mentors' to advise and guide First Year students as they settle into school. This is a most important role as many First Years are anxious and concerned about adjusting to the unfamiliarity and demands of secondary school. Application can be made via the Form Teacher or through the Year Head.
