Introductory Note to Students
The most fundamental right of a student in St. Andrew's College is the right to learn in an atmosphere conducive to academic, social and personal development.
As a student you have responsibilities to yourself, your peers, your parents and to the school. You owe it to yourself to secure the best possible education from the range of opportunities available to you in St. Andrew's College. Being responsible means that you take pride in your appearance, in your behaviour, in your achievements, and that you treat others as you would wish them to treat you.
Consideration for others, courtesy and tolerance are essential elements of the College ethos. Students should be well behaved, considerate and courteous at all times, inside and outside the College buildings and grounds. Students should be particularly conscious of their behaviour outside the College as this is frequently the yardstick by which the whole College is judged. All students have a basic right to learn. Therefore it is essential to maintain appropriate behaviour in the classroom. You should note that full school rules apply on all official outings unless you have been told otherwise by the teacher in charge. |
