Class Attendance
Attendance at class is of paramount importance until the final day. In order to stress the importance of regular attendance, the roll taken in every class for Sixth Year students will be regularly inspected and in the event of a student failing to maintain a satisfactory attendance record without a legitimate and authenticated reason a letter will be sent home to alert parents. An initial sanction will be imposed at this stage. A second communication will be sent to parents if the problem is not resolved. A further sanction will be imposed. A final letter will be sent to parents warning that if further evidence of poor attendance is noted, and no satisfactory explanation provided, then the student concerned will be suspended from classes for the remainder of the year.
Our expectation however, is that all students will attend classes regularly and achieve success in their exams.
