Careers
With less than two years to go before leaving school, Fifth Year students are advised to think about, research and plan for the future. Enormous support is available from the Guidance Counsellors. Students could begin by asking themselves questions such as: What subjects am I good at?, What subjects do I like? What types of work would I succeed in? How do I qualify for the types of employment I like? What grades can I reasonably hope to achieve in my International Baccalaureate or in my Leaving Certificate?
As has been pointed out recently by the Minister for Education and Science, there is a vast range of courses and programmes available for students of all abilities now.
